You may have been asking where have I been?  I ask my self the same question everyday or more like where has the time gone.  It has been a crazy couple of months and before you know it tomorrow will be the last day before the new year.  I have a wonderful four day weekend, that I am going to take advantage of to the fullest!  

It has been so long that I have posted anything that I don't know where to even begin.  I will leave it short and sweet and say that I had a wonderful Christmas.  Got to spend it with some of the best people around, and that of course is my family and friends.  Ate some great food, opened some wonderful, gifts, gave some great gifts, and now I am ready to shed the pounds and make my wallet full again!  haha.

How have your holidays been treating you?

Yes, I am still here.  Just been a very busy girl.  It seems that once it becomes this time of year, my life becomes quite hectic.  Although it can be very hectic at times, I still enjoy this sweater weather. 

On another note can you believe that it is already November?  I sure can't.  Before you know it, it will be turkey day.  Has it started to get chilly where you are?  Well... it has started to get a bit nippy here.  I love it though.  I especially like that I get to wear my tall boots and scarfs.  Plus there is nothing like cuddling up on the coach under some warm blanks snugging with your honey.  

What is your favorite part of this time of year?

Oh Tori... how I love you!  I have become quite obsessed with all things Tori.  I love the designs and the colors.  I may just have to get me a pair of these cute flats or even better what about these super cute boots.  Can't you just see yourself in them this fall.  What is your current obsession.

Candy Corn Jello Shots... How Festive! 

Candy Corn Jell-O Shots

Mix the white layer first and fill your Jell-O shot cups about 1/3 full (about ¼ inch deep on a 2oz cup), then chill till firm. Mix the orange layer and fill the cups till they’re about 2/3 full. Keep in mind that you’ll need a little room at the top because you won’t be filling the cups to the brim with the final layer. After the orange layer has chilled, mix up the yellow layer and top off the shots.

White Layer

1 envelope Knox unflavored gelatin

1/2 cup water 

1/2 cup canned, unsweetened coconut milk 

1/4 cup sugar

1/2 cup Vanilla Schnapps 

Sprinkle the gelatin over the coconut milk and water in a saucepan and let sit for a few minutes. Heat over low heat, stirring, until the gelatin starts to dissolve. Add the sugar and stir till dissolved. Cool till just warm. Stir in the vanilla schnapps.

Orange Layer

3 oz. pkg Orange Jell-O

1 cup water 

4 oz. Orange sherbet (about one scoop) 

1/2 cup Vanilla schnapps

3 Tbsp Butterscotch schnapps (optional)

Orange food coloring (if desired)

Bring the water to a boil. Add to Jell-O and stir till dissolved. Add sherbet while still warm and mix thoroughly as it melts. Allow to cool to room temperature. Stir in vanilla and butterscotch schnapps. Add a few drops of orange food coloring to make the color more vivid if you want to.

Yellow Layer

3 oz. pkg Pineapple Jell-O

1 cup water

1/2 cup canned coconut milk 

1/2 cup Vanilla schnapps

Yellow food coloring (if desired)

Bring the water to a boil. Add to Jell-O and stir till dissolved. Allow to cool to room temperature. Stir in coconut milk and vanilla schnapps. Add a few drops of yellow food coloring for more vivid color.

So before you view this, I have to say first that I do not know who these people are but I am some how obsessed with this wedding video.  I think it is so cute and love the music that they play through out the film.  Watch for your self and I am sure you will be just as much sucked into this as I was when I first saw this.  I hope you enjoy!

mmmmm.... what am I forgetting?!?  What are you celebrating this month?

Well it is here.  My favorite month and season of the year.  Can you smell it?  I can!  I just LOVE fall.  It is something about the cool weather that makes me all giddy.  It just so happens to be my birthday month as well.  It has started to get cool here in the Carolina's.  The air is crisp and it is almost cool enough for it to be considered "sweater weather".  If you have been wondering where I have been, I just got back from a long vacation in Mexico.  I was spending my days in bathing suits trying to stay cool in the 100 degree weather, and as I stepped outside the air port yesterday, I was welcomed back home to the nice cool breeze.  I will have to say that the warm sunshine was nice, as well as the tan I got, however there is just something about that North Carolina fall air that will always want me coming back for more!

Can you please tell me where I can find me one of these Pink Blazers!!  I must have one of these in my wardrobe asap.  I don't think you can go wrong with this bright color.  Dress it up, dress it down the possibilities are endless.  If you know where I can find one of these you know where to find me.

RULES OF A LADY... so true.  Love these.

I may have found my new favorite show.  This always happens to me... I find a show that I get completely addicted to but find out that it's been out for a while.  Oh well.  I seem to find myself glued to Netflix watching nothing else but, Mad Men.  Oh to be living in the 1960'.  It is definitely a "man's world" but I love the culture and the way the women dress.  If you haven't watched a episode I highly recommend it but BEWARE or you will end up like me and glued to the tv.

Why does it seem like it takes FOREVER for the weekends to come and then before you know it their over.  Boy, has this weekend just flown on by.  Hurricane Irene kept things interesting but it made for a lazy weekend.  I didn't really have any damage, just a bunch of leaves and sticks that had fallen.  It made a great Saturday for laying around the house and watching a bunch of Netflix movies.

Today has been just as relaxing just like all the other Sunday's.  I have been doing a little cleaning around the house to pre-pare for the beginning of the week, did a little grocery shopping, and tonight I am going to the rent's house for a bake potato bar dinner.

If you ask me I think this has been a great weekend, now if we can just get though the week for another one!

I am simply loving me some Magnolia Pearl.  I think you either get it or you don't.  The way she presents her brand is one of a kind.  She gives off the "gypsy bohemian" vibe and she does a good job at it too.  I wish I could pull this farm girl, I don't care but I still look fashionable look!  What are your thoughts.

Well I can guess you know what I am going to to say based off my picture... HOLD ON FOR DEAR LIFE... it's coming our way.  Ahhhh!  Yup it looks as if Hurricane Irene is coming straight towards us.  We have all been tracking it every hour on the hour.  Now I don't live directly right where is will hit but I do live about 2.5 hours away from the beach where they have already evacuated people.  I have the batteries in the flash light, the monopoly game ready, the candles and matches, and let's not forget some beer in the fridge.  I am one of those people who think we will just get a bunch of rain (which we need) but you never know with our friend, Mother Nature.  I just hope my family down at the beach will be ok and safe.  I guess no one really wants to live their home behind.  Let's all hold on tight and hope for the best.

I am going to tell you a story about me when I was little.  Looking back now I think it is quite silly and it always makes me laugh.  When I was younger I hated having freckles.  I didn't understand why I had them and why I had to have them.  All the other girls didn't have freckles, and there were times where I would cry wishing that they would go away.  They especially stood out during the summer time, when I would get kissed by the sun.  

I used to think there was a cream that would help me get rid of my freckles.  No matter how hard I would scrub my face they were still there.  Yes... this is all true!  I told you, you would laugh.  Looking back now I see that I was being ridiculous, and I like my freckles.  Not everyone has them.  I think they add to my crazy personality, and even make me look a little more mischievous.  I am sure as I start to get older, I will be even more thankful that I have them... they may help me look even younger, only time will tell.

Do you ever wish you could be some where else or do something that you dream about?  I feel that I sometimes live in this dream reality... sort of like a fairy tale.  Maybe I have so many dreams that they just sometimes seem to over lap onto one another.  I see my self constantly writing these ideas down, scribbling little notes on napkins.  Just one day... just one day I will be able to tell you... I did it!  You just watch and see!

How do you feel about feathers?  I have recently had a fascination with them.  They are one of my new favorite things.  I can't put my finger on why I like them so much.  Maybe because they are so light and have a "dreamy" feel to them or may it is when I look at them, I think about how they were once on a bird that could fly above and over look anything.  What are your thoughts?

Can you tell what is my new obsession.  If it isn't obvious, let me point it out... LEOPARD PRINT.  I love it love it love it.  I can not seem to get enough.  There is something about it... maybe it makes me feel a little dangerous or edgy.  Whatever it is, I hope this stays in style for a while, so that I can continue on with my new feline obsession.

I have to go to a wedding shower at work this coming week.  It's one of those things where you are forced to go celebrate and join in because everyone at work is going, so you don't want to be the odd one out.

Luckily I like the woman so I will put more effort into what I do!  Isn't that sad but oh so true.  I have been searching for the perfect recipe.  I want to make something different and fun.  I don't know how I stumble across some of these things but I just seem to find them.  I am thinking about trying to make the Chocolate Chip Dip.  Doesn't that just sound yummy.  Let me know if you have made this before and what you thought about it or you can make it to from http://www.tasteofhome.com.

Ingredients

• 1 package (8 ounces) PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese (softened or cubed), softened
• 1/2 cup butter, softened
• 3/4 cup confectioners' sugar
• 2 tablespoons brown sugar
• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
• 1 cup (6 ounces) miniature semisweet chocolate chips
• Graham cracker sticks

Directions

• In a small bowl, beat cream cheese and butter until light and fluffy. Add the sugars and vanilla; beat until smooth. Stir in chocolate chips. Serve with graham cracker sticks.

I have you notice how some girls just have the perfect hair?  The kind that is long, straight, and seems like they just woke up with it looking long, flowing, and gorgeous?  Well I don't have that.  In fact I got crazy woman hair.  It's true.  I do.  I like to gather it all together, and throw it up on top of my head in a bun, and just go with it.  Sometimes it works for me and well there are times where I get the "what was she thinking" stares.  I don't care, I like my crazy hair.  I think it fit's my crazy on the go personality.  I will have to say that I am always looking for a new cool up-do and I think this is the perfect one.  Check out

1. Pin back your fringe, or the front section of your hair. I like a little bit of height but not too much of a bump.
2. Taking a section from each side of your hairline and bring together into a twist at the back of your head.
3. Twist the section around your finger and pin into a small bun
4. Repeat steps 2 & 3 until all your hair is twisted and pinned into a line.
