Too Extreme for TLC

Happy Sunday!  It has been a great but quite busy day.  I have been trying to tie up all the loose ends before the new week begins.  If you have not already, get a Sunday paper!  It has all the coupons in it, and I have already hit up the stores.  I have always loved a great deal, but never one to really get into coupons until...TLC's show Extreme Coupons.  I would not say I am as crazy as those people but it has definitely opened my eyes to different ways to save.  It really is crazy on all the different ways you can save if you just take a little time to pre-pare!  Hope everyone has a great Sunday!

What a Royal Wedding

Yes, I will have to say that I was one of the millions or should I say billions that watched the royal wedding today.  I am so happy that I got to see a part of history.  Both newly weds looked so in love and Kate was beautiful!  Oh what a fairy tale! One prince down, one more to go!

Spring Cleaning

I am a little behind on the "spring" cleaning and really need to get it together.  It is starting to get warmer, and it is time for me to put up all the winter items and get my place all nice and tidy!  I really need to take some time and do a little re-organization.  Every where I look I find these little nick knacks.  I really need a place to store them!

The Key to a Great House is the Barn Door

With warm weather comes BARN SALES!  Oh how I heart them.  There is just something about picking through all that stuff.  The best part is using that vintage find in a different way than it was anticipated for.  Who would have thought that this barn door could be used again for a different room and look so shabby chic.  I love the gold yellow that they chose.  This would be a great conversation for a farm house.

Bacon,Egg, and Toast Cups

I just love Martha Stewart!  I think she has some great ideas.  I just so happen to be on her web-site and found this great breakfast recipe.  Who doesn't love breakfast?  Take a look for your self!

Bacon, Egg, an Toast Cups

Ingredients

• 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
• 8 slices white or whole-wheat sandwich bread
• 6 slices bacon
• 6 large eggs
• Coarse salt and ground pepper

Directions

1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Lightly butter 6 standard muffin cups. With a rolling pin, flatten bread slices slightly and, with a 4 1/4-inch cookie cutter, cut into 8 rounds. Cut each round in half, then press 2 halves into each muffin cup, overlapping slightly and making sure bread comes up to edge of cup. Use extra bread to patch any gaps. Brush bread with remaining butter.
2. In a large skillet, cook bacon over medium, until almost crisp, 4 minutes, flipping once. (It will continue to cook in the oven.) Lay 1 bacon slice in each bread cup and crack an egg over each. Season with salt and pepper. Bake until egg whites are just set, 20 to 25 minutes. Run a small knife around cups to loosen toasts. Serve immediately.
