Every year the orange county area has the Farm Tour, where you can travel around the area to see where locally food is grown. I think this is so neat because many people do now know where there food comes from. It takes a lot of work and love for many of these farmers and it is great to tour these places and get tips for your own garden. Unfortunately I will not be able to go but my mother has been for the past two years and LOVES it. There is something special about seeing all the work that each farm has put into their harvest and the live stock that they raise. This year the tour has already sold out and it continues through rain or shine. They are calling for a bad thunder storm today so hopefully people will be able to see as much as they can before the rain start hit. You know what they say, "the show must go on". I can not wait to hear about how the great farm ideas from my mother!
Hey Meghan, I actually went to the Farm Tour. I could only go with friends on the 1st day which was the worst day because of all the rain. We visited 4 farms. Everything was so lush and green, absolutely beautiful with all the lettuces and flowers.
